Anticipation and excitement for the start of the 2026-27 school year in the Brooklyn City Schools is quickly growing! Grades K-12 will return to school on Wednesday, August 26th, followed by Preschool students on Monday, August 31st. The Brooklyn City Schools invites PK-12 families to celebrate the first day of school in a fun and memorable way by sharing a photo of their student with a First Day of School Sign on social media! Families can download and print the flyer for their student’s grade level below.
Throughout the first day of school for the 2026-27 school year, families can take a picture of their student holding a First Day of School sign and share it using #HurricanePride on their favorite social media channel, being sure to tag the district, which can be found on Facebook and X, @BrooklynSchools, or Instagram, @brooklyncityschools. On behalf of the Brooklyn City Schools, thank you for your continued support and best wishes for a successful 2026-27 school year!
