Financial Fact Fridays seeks to share on a regular basis factual information related to strategic investments and district finances with the Brooklyn City Schools community.
Strategic Investment at the Brooklyn Stadium Athletic Complex$1.82M invested in the Brooklyn Stadium Athletic Complex at Hurricane Alley:
- $400,000 — New Track Surface (2023)
- $445,000 — New Stadium Field Lights
- $175,000 — New Digital Stadium Scoreboard
- $650,000 — Field Turf Replacement & Track/Field Event Area Restoration
- $150,000 — Community Walking Path connecting to Memorial Park
These renovations were made possible through the $20 million Bond Issue that passed in March 2024, along with support from the General Fund & the NFL Grassroots Foundation Grant.
Our goal is to keep our school community informed and help explain our strategic investments and financial decisions as we move the district forward.
